Have a brother hl2040 printer . Changed cartridge and now it keeps flashing out of toner.Shook it and all the?

If you changed the cartridge and it still flashes out of toner


it does not really have to do with the toner itself but with


the chip that is on the cartridge. The chip is what


measures the cartridge life.





I suspect the chip on your cartridge is bad or just not


reset properly.





If it is bad you would have to replace the cartridge.





If it is just not reset properly you can reset it with a 3 dollar


piece of equipement.
