How reliable are the remanufactured printer toners?

I hate to pay so much for the brand printer toners. How reliable are the refilled ones and where is the best place to buy from? ThanksHow reliable are the remanufactured printer toners?
Refilled ink cartridges were found to have reliability issues and high failure rates, with 1/3 of them 'dead on arrival' or failing prematurely. Before you go for reman, you may want to read the article I am referring to. (link below). There was a recent independent study commissioned by HP that revealed that HP genuine inks yield 2.4x more prints than reman and refilled cartridges. -Thomas LeeHow reliable are the remanufactured printer toners?
I had a black ink cartridge refilled once, at ';Office Max ';, it I was able to print 1 document, then my printer started acting retarded, informed me there was no cartridge inserted, all while spewing ink everywhere. I returned the leaking refilled cartridge to the store, and was given a brand new cartridge '; free of charge';. I was not impressed with the refilled one at all, but giving me a brand new one to replace the refill without having to pay the difference was great.
there is no good answer. You can get good ones and bad ones. I refill laser toners myself. I buy the toner on ebay for $10, sometimes less and it's good for 2-3 times. By the third refill, the print starts to get very light because it needs a new drum.
Find a company that guarantees their product. If it is re-manufactured and not refilled you have a better chance at a good one. You can refill it yourself if you have good toner and not the cheap crap.
There is no definite answer to your first question. Some work, some not. For your next question, I recommend Color Toner Expert.
Not all toner is the same, so refills..as in regular ink cartridges...is not the best idea. true its cheaper but it may cause more problems than it was worth!
