My laserprinter hp1010 prints out blank paper, my toner is in good shape what 's wrong with my printer?

In HP black and white laser printers there is a blue roller contained in the toner cartridge. This is a photosensitive roller. When you send a print job to your printer, a laser from the scanner assembly redraws the print job as a picture on the image roller. This places a charge on the roller and the toner than sticks to the image roller.

When the paper passes under the toner catridge, it is charged by the transfer/charging roller. The image is than transfered to the paper and help there by an electrostatic charge. The paper than passes through the fuser which melts the toner to the paper.

1. Send a print job to the printer.

2.Try to sense when the paper is halfway past the toner cartridge.

3. Open the cover to stop the paper.

4. Pull out the toner cartridge and move the flap up at the bottom.

5. Look at the blue roller, there should be a partial replica of your print job.

6. If not, the image roller could be bad, meaning you'll have to try another toner cartridge or the mirror that reflects the laser onto the image roller could be dirty. The causes could be your laser scanner assembly or DC controller.

Most likely I would say you have a faulty toner cartridge.
