The toner on my 2600n laser printer is leaking....has anyone had this problem....how do I fix this?

I have changed the ink many times and the ink keeps leaking. This is not an old printer....any help? The toner on my 2600n laser printer is leaking....has anyone had this problem....how do I fix this?
by leaking do you mean there is excess toner on the page? IE then you print here is magenta, or yellow toner smeared all over the page?)

This actually isn't the toner it is the image transfer belt. This is not a cheap or easy fix. If it is not an old printer and you are under warranty contact HP. Have a replacement or repair sent out.

It is a very common problem on the 1600 and 2600n for the image transfer belt to prematurely fail. The printer itself was not intended to be a high volume laser.

If you are not under warranty, find out if you have a local HP authorized repair shop and investigate the cost of an image transfer belt replacement. It should run about $100.The toner on my 2600n laser printer is leaking....has anyone had this problem....how do I fix this?
If you are using capatible toners that can happen. If the toner can smear with your finger on the page, it's the fuser. If the toner is jsut messed up but sticks to the paper, than there is something wrong in the transfer area of the printer. This is where the toner drum touchs the paper.
