My printer is saying ';no toner'; what does it mean?

A laser printer has an oblong toner cartridge usually acessed by lifting the top half of the printer up (some larger colour lasers have a rear entry method).

It 'may' be worth removing the cartidge holding it absolutely level and gently shaking it side to side, you can usually get a few more pages out of it by doing that.

Be aware that laser toner is a suspect carcinogen - most companies do not allow pregnant women to change toners for this reason. Wear the disposable gloves supplied with the new cartridge if you are concerned.

Also it can be false economy with some HP Laserjets to use refilled / remanufactured cartridges, in fact some of the new cartridges are 'chipped' to ensure that this cannot happen.

(Not all the parts are replaced, and they are seldom filled to the original capacity)

There are places that will give you a few dollars for your old cartridge. My printer is saying ';no toner'; what does it mean?
You ran out of ink. Go to cartridge world and get the toner refilled for a valuable discount. My printer is saying ';no toner'; what does it mean?
It means that your laser printer is out of toner, toner is a black or colored powder that is the equivelent of ink for laser printers. Contact your manufacturer for instructions on how to remove the toner and replace it with a new one.
No toner means that you are out of toner, or ink.
you need a new toner cartridge. if your at work ask the supplies or the IT guys.

If it's your personal printer take the name of the printer to the shop and ask them for toner.
That means, genius, that you have to take yourself and your wallet to the stationery store and buy a new toner cartridge. Don't forget the model number and brand of machine.

BTW, all you other geniuses, TONER IS NOT THE SAME AS INK. Toner is a mix of plastic powder, and iron oxide. Ink is, well, ink.
you dont have ink in it...............thanks for the points
it means it is out of toner....
It means that you have run out of ';Toner'; Go to a electronics chain or computer store with your printer's name %26amp; model #.
u need some ink, might want to get another one
ur out of ink
When your printer tells you that you have no toner you need to try checking the ink you have left in the printer and should go ahead and replace the cartridge in it.
it means you've run out of ink.
